   • There's one key for encryption and decrypion
     • Both ends have to agree in a common key
     • The keys are kept as a secret
     • Vigenere cipher
     • Caesar cipher

3. Assymetric

   • There's a public key used for encryption and a private key for decryption
     • No need to agree in common keys
     • Only the private key is kept a secret
     • Public encryption
