     • Not cost effective compared to magnetic, meaning it costs more.
       • Low capacity compared to magnetic

   • Floppy disk
   • High capacity compared to solid state, meaning it can store more files and programs
   • Low read/write speed compared to solid state, meaning it procceses instructions slower
   • Magnetic tape
