1. Optical Storage

   • Example
     • CD
     • DVD
   • It is any disk that you read/write with a laser.
   • Advantages
     • Cost effective
     • Portable
   • Disadvantages
     • Not very durable
     • Has limited capacity

2. Solid state

   • Advantage.
     • More durable compared to optical therefore it would be better to buy since if you drop it, it probably won't break.
     • Can read and write much faster compared to magnetic therefore it would be better to buy since everything would save and load quicker
     • More energy efficient compared to optical therefore it is better for the environment.
   • Disadvantage
     • Less cost effective compared to optical therefore it will cost more to get a solid state hard drive
     • Smaller capacity compared to magnetic therefore you can't store as much on it.

3. Magnetic storage

   • Disadvantages
     • If you drop it it will break easy.
     • Not that durable since has moving parts
     • Slower read and write speed than Solid state
   • Advantages
     • It is more durable than Optical.
     • It is cheap
     • It has good storage
