1. Malware

   • Software that has been designed to gain unauthorised access to a computer system in order to disrupt it or collect information.

2. Virus

   • A computer program hidden inside another program . A virus usually has a harmful effect, such as corrupting or deleting data on a disc. It can replicate itself and insert itself into other programs or files, which can then be passed on.

3. Spyware

   • Comes packaged with other software, the user does not know they are installing it. It spies on users by sending screenshots and key presses to the hackers computer so revealing details of usernames and passwords.

4. Anti-virus/ Anti-spyware softwares

   • Checks all files that are loaded onto a computer for viruses.
