   • WHAT IS SOFTWARE?
     • Software is a set if instructions associated documentations that tells a computer what to do or how to perform a task. It includes all different software programs on a computer, such as applications and the operating system

       • Excel
         • Power Point
           • Microsoft office
             • Adobe Photoshop
     • programs that allow the user to do specific tasks
       • data base
         • apps
           • photo and video editing software
             • graphic manipulation software

   • ADVANTAGES
     • mobility. the first and main advantage of a laptop in comparison with a desktop
       • internet access
         • portability
           • easy to use without any additional devices
             • offline operation
               • power usage. It consumes less power than a desktop
   • DISADVANTAGES
     • sensitivity. They are easier to damage
       • unpredictable battery
         • laptops generally have smaller capacities than desktops (less memory)
           • smaller and slower hard drive
             • slower processors

5. DESKTOP

   • ADVANTAGES
     • more power and more features
       • less expensive
         • longer monitors
           • less chance of losing your data
   • DISADVANTAGES
     • big and heavy
       • can be noisy
         • not portable
           • requires a separate monitor
             • need keyboard, mouse and monitor
               • probably without wireless connection
