     • someone that hacks a company whithout telling the company but then tells them and helps them out.
   • white hat hacking
     • someone that is employed by a company to find any flaws in their security.
   • black hat hacking
     • hacks without any permission for there own good

2. malware

   • malicious software designed to cause harm
   • botnet
     • a network of computers which contain malware allowing them to be controlled by a hacker

3. phishing

   • sending a fake email or message pretending to be an organisation to get log in details and passwords

4. encryption

   • encryption is the process of making data unreadable
   • plaintext
     • plaintext is encrypted using a key to produce ciphertext

5. cracking

   • cracking encryption is decrypting without a key
