   • Material factors
     • characteristics of the physical space
       • e.g. flexible furniture arrangement / modular furniture
     • tools and objects the actors have access to
       • Internet enabled computer with a projector and a wireless keyboard
   • Social factors
     • organisational structure
       • horizontal organisation / partnerships
     • groupings of and relations between various actors
       • team teaching
     • conventions and norms
       • interclass collaboration and whole school projects are encouraged
   • Intentional factors
     • beliefs, desires, motivations and expectations of individual actors
       • best students can apply for scholarships to participate in student exchange abroad
     • mental and emotional barriers of individual actors
       • shier students may under perform due to discussion and collboration being the focus of lessons
