DATA
"what is given"
Into the computer...
- Information -> Input devices -> Data -> Information
Types
- NUMERICAl
- ALPHANUMERICAL
- AUDIOVISUAL
- PHYSICAL
How does it work?
- 1st. Data enters the computer though an INPUT device ---> to the RAM
- 2nd. It is processed, following some steps that a program told him.
- 3rd. transforms the information, that is being stored in the RAM.
- 4th. The final results = Info. is displayed through an output device.

- 1st. Data enters the computer though an INPUT device ---> to the RAM
How is it stored?
- The results are kept in the RAM.
- VARIABLES
- It is the address for a particular place in the RAM.
- Where we can save values for some time, without changing.
- It is the address for a particular place in the RAM.
- CONSTANTS
- It is an address for a particular place in the RAM
- that will NEVER change

How to name the Variables & Constants
- ONLY letters-numbers-underscore
- MUST start with a letter
- MUST be related to what they keep
- No more than 255 characters

How to give value to
- variables & constants
- We use the assignment operation
- =
- <----
- left side of the <---, goes the value of the variable
- right side of the <---, goes the value given to the variable
- =
