Light

Light

1. Shadows

2. Pin Hole Camera

3. Reflection

   • light reflects off mot surfaces clear reflection off smooth shiny ones eg mirror - reflects at same angle rough surfaces look dull eg paper  - light scatterd back in diff directions (diffuse)

4. Periscope

5. Refraction

6. Light is a wave

   • Light  - A  wave that transfers energy Produced by luminous objects e.g. sun, candle , bulb Light travels in a straight line Transverse wa
   • transfers energy
   • produced by luminous objects
   • transverse wave
   • travels in straight line
   • can be reflected
   • does NOT need particles to travel
     • faster when less particles
       • fasyest in vacuum
       • fastest in vicuum
         • speed = 3x10 p8 m/s
         • same speed in vacuum
