1. Firewall

   • we use it to stop certain data coming through our computers.
     • some of this data can be good.
   • it can stop worms and cookies coming through your devise
   • if data packets are not adressed to you then firewall makes them go away
   • great layer of security to protect your devises
   • if you don't use firewall all of your school work, home and business work could disappear
   • if you send something to someone it could come back with a virus

2. Password

   • make sure its safe
     • otherwise your files will be stolen or deleted
   • mix of letters and numbers
     • so it will be difficult to find out what it is
   • numbers and letters are
     • to make sure its fully secure.
   • your password keeps your personal, online life, safe online secured with a password.
   • don't tell anyone your password or otherwise they could share your password and everyone could access your accounts online/your computer

3. Anti-virus

   • it your computer so it can fight off new and improved viruses.
   • if you don't use anti-virus you could effect all your data on your computer by malware.
   • in school all of your data could be gone if there are no security.
   • at our buisnes, all the plans and money networking could disapear and be stolen
   • it gives you a scan nearly everyday so that you and you data can be protected from nasty viruses
   • there are a lot of really safe anti virus packs like for example Mcfee anti virus
   • massive layer of security

4. Encryption

   • a secret code
     • used to scramble data and making it harder to solve your code
   • used to be used in wars
     • so people or enemies wouldn't know who it is
   • encryption involves passwords and codes.
   • it involves a lot of security.
     • if a website has a padlock and is in green inside the search bar, it means its encypted and secure.
       • if it doesn't, then its probably a bad and a cookie placing website hacking into your system.
         • though some cookies are good, but on those types of websites, they are bad cookies.
   • not all websites use encryption because say if you had a news website, you wouldn't need a password as news is for everyone to read and talk about.
   • in our everyday lives we use encryption all the time!
     • think of social medias ans your phone password... even some online games we use there is encryption on there too.
