   • Faster read and write speed compared to magnetic, which makes it quicker to load and save data giving it high performance.
   • It has a lower capacity compared to magnetic, this means that you will not be able to have to many files and programs open
   • More durable compared to optical and magnetic, therefore if you drop your device, it is most likely not going to break

2. magnetic storage

   • Holds more capacity than solid state, this means you can store more data and applications on your device.
   • Not as durable as solid state because of moving parts inside the device, therefore, if you drop it, it will most likely break.
   • Has slower read and write speed than solid state, this means it will take longer to load and save programs, files etc.
   • More cost effective compared to solid state as you are getting higher capacity for your money

3. optical storage

   • most cost effective compared to solid state and magnetic, therefore it is very cheap to make and buy
   • Not very durable compared to solid state, this means it will break or scrach quite easily.
   • Has a limited capacity compared to magnetic, therefore you can't download to much to it.
   • very portable compared to magnetic, this means you can take it around with you quite easily.
