1. Optical

   • CD
   • BLU ray
   • Advantage - It is more portable than solid state therefore you can use it in more devices
   • Disadvantage - lower capacity then magnetic this means you can not store as many files and programs on it
   • Advantage - It is more coat effective then solid state this means you can get more capacity for your money
   • Disadvantage - less durable then solid sate so your data can be lost eaiser

2. Solid state

   • SD card
   • Memory stick
   • Advantage-It has a faster read write speed then magnetic which means you can open programs and applications quicker
   • Disadvantage-Lower capacity then magnetic therefore you will have less space to store aplications
   • Advantage - It is more durable then magnetic so you have less chance of losing your data
   • Disadvantage - Not as cost effective as magnetic therefore you can't buy as much capacity

3. Magnetic

   • floppy disk
   • Hard drive
   • Advantage-Higher capacity then solid state storage so you can store more applications
   • Disadvantage-Slower read write speed then solid state so you can't load applications as quick
   • Disadvantage - Less durable then solid state so you have more chance of losing your applications
   • Advantage - More cast effective then solid state so you can buy more capacity for your money
