1. Optical Storage

   • Advantages
     • Very portable compared to magnetic as magnetic has moving parts
     • Optical is very cost effective compared to solid state this means optical is less expensive
   • Disadvantages
     • Not very durable compared to solid state as optical can be broken very easily
     • Very limited capacity compared to magnetic therefore can hold less files and programs

2. Magnetic Storage

   • Advantages
     • More cost effective compared to solid state as you get more GB for your money
     • It has a larger capacity compared to solid state therefore it can hold more files and programs
   • Disadvantages
     • Not as durable compared to solid state as magnetic has moving parts that can break very easily
     • Read/write speed is slower compared to solid state therefore it can not load files an dprograms as quickly

3. Solid State

   • Advanatges
     • Faster read/write speed compared to magnetic, this means solid state can load and save files quicker.
     • Solid state is more durable compared to magnetic this means it is less likely to break and be recoverable from an accident
   • Disadvantages
     • Has less capacity compared to magnetic therefore magnetic can hold more files and applications
