"PASSIVE VOICE"
- It follows the pattern:
- "Subject (doer) + verb + object (receiver)
- "Harry ate a sandwich this morning"
- Subject --> Harry (doer)
- Verb --> Ate
- Object --> Sandwich
- The SUBJECT is the receiver of the action
- The subject is the reeiver of the action
- The DOER is found at the end of the sentence
- "Subject (receiver) + be + past participle + by + doer of the action"
- "Mandy gave me this book" -----> this sentence is in "active voice", changing
to "passive voice":
- "This book was given by Mandy"
- Subject --> Book (receiver)
- Verb --> Given
- Doer of the action --> Mandy
