    2. students watch online lectures, collaborate in online discussions, or carry out research at home and engage in concepts in the classroom with the guidance of the instructor.
      1. The flipped classroom intentionally shifts instruction to a learner-centered model in which class time explores topics in greater depth and creates meaningful learning opportunities.
        1. there are meny methods that a teacher can use
          1. video: Teachers can create a quick screencast that teaches a basic concept, post the video to YouTube, and Ss can watch in their own homes
            1. Inquiry: This method asks the student to "find" the answer on his/her own.
              1. Explore/Flip/Apply (EFA): The video generally covers what the instructor notices was weak or missing or just wants to emphasize more before the next class meeting.
              2. it is not a traditional method
                1. Flipped teachers don't spend precious class time lecturing what students can find in a few seconds on their devices.
