1. Lines

   • y = mx + c
     • Linear Graphs

       • The Intercept
       • Where it crosses the Y axis
     • M
       • Gradient
     • Y
       • The Y axis coordinate
       • (X,Y)
     • X
       • The X axis coordinate
       • (X,Y)
   • Highest number of x's tells us what type of graph it is
   • y = 3x3 + 4x2 + 8
     • The x3 is larger than x2
       • Therefore it is a cubic graph not a quadratic graph

2. Gradients

   • M
   • The higher the gradient the steeper the line
   • The smaller the gradient the shallower the line

   • Reciprocal
     • y = n/x
       • n = number
     • Break in the graph
     • Positive are in the 1st and 3rd quadrants
     • Negative are in 2nd and 4th quadrants
   • Cubic
     • y = x3
     • Positive are from the bottom left corner
     • Negative are from the top left
     • S shaped
   • Quadratic
     • y = x2
     • U shaped
     • Positive are u shaped
     • Negative are n shaped
   • Linear
     • Straight Line
     • Positive
       • Upwards sloping Gradient
         • Bottom to Top
     • Negative
       • Downward sloping Gradients
