Zusammenfassung der Ressource
Craik and Tulving
(Key Study for LOP)
Evaluation
- GENERALISABILITY
- The study can not be
generalised as it used a small
sample of twenty participants.
This is not a big enough sample
to generalise to the whole
population.
- RELIABILITY
- The study is reliable to an
extent as it was a lab
experiment, therefore there
was a high level of control
of all the variables. This
means the experiment is
reliable as all the variables
had been manipulated.
- APPLICATION
- The study can be
applied to real life as it
shows how most people
recall information. It could
be used for educational
purposes.
- VALIDITY
- The experiment
has low ecological
validity as they were
not acting naturally
due the experiment
using a lab method.
- ETHICS
- No informed consent given
as the participants didn't
know they were going to be
given the test - it was
'incidental'
