1. Cosimo de' Medici

  2. In jail, he bribed people to get the charges dropped
  3. His father, Giovanni had been one of the most important men in Florance
  4. When he died they wrote 'Pater patriae' on his tomb which means 'Father of the country'
  5. He was a good man that had lots of money, he became greedy and powerful and was banished from Florance. ahe returned later and decided to do good things for everyone
  6. He put his friends and members of his family in important roles
  7. In 1433 he was arrested as a danger to the people of Florance
  8. The Pope told him to pay for a new church building, so he did

  2. He had lots of enimies

  4. He was careles and didn't worry about becoming too powerful
  5. He tortured and excecuted the Pazzi plotters
