Bob Cratchit quotes and analysis

"He tried to warm himself at the candle"

His efforts to warm himself at the candle are pitiful. he would prefer to do this than challenge Scrooge which indicates that bob Cratchit is so terrified of his boss, Scrooge.

lack of collocation- "warm" "candle"- we don't associate trying to get warm by candle light. Which indicates that Scrooge doesn't know how to act with people and their feelings.
