Bus

• 
• There is a backbone where all the other devices are connected to.
• If the backbone is broken then the whole network will stop working.
• data has to go through all the nodes before its sent to the right one so its slow.

Star

• 
• Each computer is connected to a hub or a switch in the middle
• If one of the cables break the network will function properly because they are not all connected
• Its easy to connect new devices and remove devices from the network
• Its faster as data goes from just the computers to the hub

Ring

• 
• Computers are connected in a ring
• data goes through all the computers before it goes to where in needs to go
• data flows in one direction
