INSTRUCTIONAL DESIGN
Is the creation of learning experiences and materials that we can apply in class and it helps us to evaluate its effetiveness.
It provides a practical and systematic process to design an effective curricula.
Instructional designers are the responsible for creating the course design and develop the materials they are going to use like: guides, handouts, and job aids. They are also responsible for evaluating training including assessing what was learned.
Instructors of designers follow a system of assessing needs, designing a process, developing materials and evaluating effectiveness.
Basic components of
Instructional Design
It includes: analysis, design, development and evaluation.
Analysis : understands the needs of learners and their solutions. In this matter, they also begin to develop the goals of training that includes: Learning objectives
Design and Development: It determins the methods to be used. Includes draffting and lesson plans, developing instructional materials like: presentations, e-learning, jobs aids, guides, and any other material that will be used in the training.
Evaluation: lets you know if your training was usefull, it measures the learner´s behavior. It has some models like:
Four levels of Training Evaluation
Sucess Case Method
ROI Methodology
Learning-transfer Evaluation Model
Instructional design model
ADDIE is the most used by now, but there are another options. In recent years, there has been a push to use, more agil, iterative approaches, for example.
Common instructional design of models includes:
* ADDIE
*Action Mapping
*Dick and Carie Method
*Kemp design model
*Principles of intructions
*SAM
*Agil or rapid prototyping
The Future of Instructional Design
As we are using already several online tools and apps to facilitate online classes, we have to notice that word is changing in the learning functions.
Fexibility, creativity and innovation are becoming more valued

What is instruction? Purposeful activity intended to cause guide, or support learning.
What is training? is specific and focused and is often a "subset" of some larger objective.
What is teaching? Experiences that are facilitated by a teacher as part as an instruction.
Training - Teaching - Instruction goes one after another in order to tell students what to do as a process to learn.
Education
Is outside of those terms because it can be formal or informal education, in the informal can happen without instruction just with daily expieriences.
ADDIE
The ADDIE model is the generic process traditionally used by instructional designers and training developers. The five phases—Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation—represent a dynamic, flexible guideline for building effective training and performance support tools.
