ACTIVE AND PASSIVE VOICE

• ACTIVE VOICE
• Indicates that the subject of the verb is acting. (Nos indica la acción que se lleva a cabo.)
• It’s a normal sentence in any tenseesent, past simple, present perfect, future, etc. (Oraciones normales en cualquier tiempo, presente simple, pasado, perfecto simple, futuro, etc.)
• 

EXAMPLES:

• -My mother cleans the kitchen.----------------------Simple present
• -The teacher repeated the numbers. -------------Simple past
• -I will read an interesting novel. --------------------- Future «will»
• -They are going to bou a new car.-----------------Future going to
• -John have finished his project.--------------------- Present perfect
• - Mary had read an interesting novel. ------------- past perfect

PASSIVE VOICE

• We change the main verb of the active voice sentence into the passive voice. The tense remains unchanged.
• the subject of the active voice sentence becomes the agent of the passive sentence. It is placed
• after the past participle and it is preceded by the preposition by.
• EXAMPLE:
• 1.- Leslie took this photograph yesterday.---- ACTIVE VOICE
• 2.- This photograph was taken by Leslie yesterday.-----PASSIVE VOIVE
