Unit 6 Lesson 7 Areas and Volumes of Similar Solids--

Theorem 11-12: If the scale factor of two similar solids is a:b then, 1. the ratio of their corresponding areas is a^2:b^2      2. and the ratio of their corresponding volumes is a^3:B^3

If you are finding the scale factor of two similar figures that has the volumes listed, then put the given volumes in fraction form and take the cube root. 

If you are finding the scale factor of two similar figures that has the areas listed, then put the given areas in fraction form and take the square root.
