Sequence of activities
The sequence of the activities is based on technical requirements, not on management considerations.

Unique Activities
Random variations in a project will always occur, therefor each activity is unique and will never be the same in any new project i.e. someone is sick so that conditions for that activity has changed.

Complex Activities
The activities that make up a project can be complicated, designing a user interface for an application could be such an activity.

Connected Activities
There could be a relationship between activities, therefor an order that they need to happen in.

Unconnected Activities
Activities that can occur in any order.
