Question Answer
Bunsen Burners Bunsen burners are often used in experiments as a heat provision.
The long upper tube is known as the chimney. The collar is the cylinder of metal that can be turned to block or open the airhole, and the piece which projects the fire is the jet. Finally, the stand which lies at the bottom is named the base.
Flames There are three variants of flames: the orange safety, the working blue and the roaring blue. The orange safety flames is obtained by keeping the airhole closed; the working blue is created with a half-open airhole, and the roaring blue requires a fully open airhole.
