Analysis of Lip Sync Tutorial - Delilah (Never Be Another One)
  1. The majority of video included shots conventional to music videos. I learnt the most common shot types are:
    1. Close Ups
      1. Medium Close Ups
      2. We also used obvious edits conventional of music videos such as;
        1. A filter at the beginning of the video called 'light rays'
          1. Black and white filter at some aspects of the video
            1. Slow motion
              1. Rewind, Fast forward, Time lapse
              2. Base tracks were used through the majority of the music video. (When the artist is filmed singing the whole song)
                1. Most videos use them in order to use repeated shots which are conventional of music videos.
                2. Markers are normally used in music videos as a way of syncing up the artist's mouth to the original song track.
                  1. Evaluation - What we did, and what went wrong?
                    1. We used markers on Final Cut Pro in order to match the music to the artists's mouth. However, one or two areas were out of sync, not because of the editing, but because of the artist messing up the lyrics during filming
                      1. We used 4 basetracks but, editing would've have been easier if we had done more
                        1. The shots were framed well however, we noticed that when we added a balck and white effect to a shot the artist's coat was fuzzy on the screen
                          1. We learnt the artist should never wear twead, wool etc whilst filming. It confuses the camera and leaves a fuzzy effect on the shot.
