Resource summary

Light -independent reaction- Calvin cycle
  1. ATP and NADPH fro LD reaction used to reduce co2 in second stage of photosynthesis
    1. Does not require light directly
      1. Needs products from LD reaction
        1. When light is absent- less or non products of LD reaction are made
        2. Takes place in stroma of chloroplast
          1. Fluid of stroma contains all the enzymes needed to carry out the LI reaction (reduction of co2)
            1. Stroma fluids surrounds the grana so products of LD reaction can easily diffuse into stroma
              1. Contains both DNA and ribosomes, so it can quickly and easily manufacture some proteins needed for LI reaction
