Main Concepts What you want to get out of this course is an understanding of the logic of the physiological system of the human body.    How the structure of a cells within a tissue underlies that tissue’s functional capabilities.      You will learn how organ systems are organized to work in concert with other organ systems to ensure survival of the organism.  You will learn how the system adjusts itself to provide a stable internal environment so that the organ systems can operate with optimal efficiency.  Anatomy: The study of the structure and the shape of the body and its parts and their relationships to one another  Physiology: The study of how the body and its parts work or function    ​​​​​​​
