The advantages and disadvantages of genarating electricity using fossil fuels and nuclear power are:

Advantages cheaper cost of electricity Can be genarated on a large scale un interpted suply can be built anywhere necular power station don't produce carbon dixiode They don't produce sulphur dixiode or oxides of nitrgoen nuclear power station use small amounts of fuel to produce large amounts of electricty and only leave small amounds of waste

Disadvantages very expencive to build Fossil fuels produce sulhur dixoide and oxides of nitrogen and they cause acid rain coal mining and oil or gas extraction have large effcts on the enviroment Coal mining scars the landscape If oil is spilt it cause huge amounts of pollution fossils fuel power stations produce large amounts carbon dixiode which effects the green house effect and global warming fossil fuel power stations have to be near rail or sea and need large areas for storage waste from neclar power stations is highly radeioactive and very dangroues and has to be secured safley necular power stations require good security systems
