- 7Categorical variableA variable that names categories (whether with words or numerals) is called categorical.
- 8Quantitative variableA variable in which the numbers act as numerical variables is called quantitative. They always have units.
- 9Identifier variableA variable holding a unique name, ID number for a case. Useful in matching data from two different databases or relations.
