- 1Solid Communication PlanSetting the collaborative stage. Once the facts have been collected, you need to sort out the practicalities. This will insure a collaborative environment. Make sure you cover the following: Logistics, attendees, agenda, ground rules.
- 2LogisticsEstablish a neutral meeting place and time that both groups agree on.
- 3AttendeesFor attendees, notify the involved parties to ensure that they are made aware of the nature of the meeting and what will be covered.
- 4AgendaEstablish an agenda. Create an agenda that includes both party's points of view and has time set aside for decision making.
- 5Ground rulesMost importantly, establish ground rules (regras básicas). Create ground rules for communication, collaboration, and decision-making, such as listening, being respectful, and being open to each other’s opinions. Have the groups agree to these ground rules. Now you are ready to stage the collaboration.
