- 2Adaptation 1:Has microvilli - these create a larger surface area which help for a more rapid absorption
- 3Adaptation 2:Thin surface layer - this helps to create a short diffusion pathway so the small soluble molecules can diffuse into the villi quicker and more efficiently
- 4Adaptation 3:Good blood supply via capillary network - this allows soluble material to be transported away very quickly maintaining a concentration gradient
