1. Firewall

   • rotection from a network that has a virus
     • used when programs is trying to connect to another network
     • needs updating reguarly to make sure that it knows the latest threats
   • control which programs can send and recieve data packets.
   • prevents harmful data entering your computer

2. Anti-malware

   • anti-malware is a type of software progammed to prevent detect
     • controls which programs can send and recieve data packets.
   • it prevents vriuses happening in your computer and can decide to keep them or destroy but even better is treat them so that they can roam around in your computer and be safe.
     • should be used when downloading new software from the internet
   • scans the computer periodically.
     • quarantines any programs or files whch are harmful

3. Passwords

   • Passwords are a security so that no one can get into your phone pr any of your devices!.
     • numbers and letters (alphanumeric)
     • very not simple
       • 10 or more digits
   • is needed to stop another person from logging into your account.

4. Encryption

   • used to scramble data being sent over a network so that it cant be read unless you have the ley.
     • the process of converting information or data int code.

5. Local Area Network (LAN)

   • Wide Area Network (WAN)
     • Wireless Person Area Network (WPAN)
       • Wireless Access Point.
