1. server-side processing

   • processing upon a server side processor and external transported
   • disadvantages
     • not very secure
     • can overload with too much capacity
   • advantages
     • easy to update as it is connected directly to a data base
     • very quick and doesn't rely on clients device

2. Client-side processing

   • this is where the processing occurs on the clients computer rather than a server
   • ways of doing this is via HTML and CSS
   • advantages
     • it is faster because it does not have to travel over the internet
     • data can not be intercepted and is more secure
   • disadvantages
     • is not the same on each browser
     • Relies on speed of clients computer
