Lady Macbeth

1. Head strong

   • Determined for Macbeth to go forward with the murder of Duncan
   • Macbeth freaks out after murder, she stays calm and tells him to stay in the room and wash the blood of his hands

2. Witchlike

   • 'Come you spirits that tend on mortal thoughts, unsex me here' like the chant of a curse, speaking of supernatural beings.

3. Verbally abusive

   • Again, when she insults Macbeth by questioning his manliness.

4. Greedy

   • She wants macbeth to hold the power as king and wants this to happen mostly for her own benifit
   • 'Hie thee hither ... golden round' She has decided macbeth will have the crown and she wishes to be more manly to even help with the killing

5. Ruthless

   • Talks about how she would take her own baby and smash its brains out.

6. Ambitious

   • Doesn't waver in the decision of murdering Duncan.

7. Persuasive

8. Manipulative

   • She questions his man hood to prove his masculinity
   • "When you durst do it, then you are a man" this suggests that he's no longer a man because he is backing out of the murder.

9. Persistant

   • (Uses the example of the baby) she keeps using examples and insulting Macbeth until he gives in.

10. Cunning

    • She takes control and plans the murder of Duncan herself
