What affects the Performance?
- what affects the performance?
Core: The core affects the performance of the CPU.There are four types of cores: single, dual, quad and 8 core.
- Dual core will double the amount of instructions processed per second.
- Quad core will quadruple the amount of instructions processed per second. Four times as many instructions will be processed.
- 8 Core will times the amount of instructions processed by the computer by 8.
- Having multiple cores means the faster the data can be transferred.
Clock Speed
- The faster the clock speed, the more instructionsthe processor can complete per second.
- Clock speed is usually measured in MHz(megahertz, or millions of pulses per second) or GHz(gigahertz, or billions of pulses per second)
Cache Size
- Cache has a bigger memory size and is used to store more immediate instructions.
- The larger the size of the cache, the faster the data transfer and the better the CPU performance.
- The purpose of the cache is to ensure this smooth and fast transition of data transfer from the hardware to the CPU.
- Cache holds commonly used instructions.
