OSI MODEL

1. Application layer

   • Controls how the interections happen
   • Makes sure its possible for client to communicate

2. Presentation layer

   • Formats Data
   • Makes sure that both sides can read it

3. Session layer

   • Creates the connection
   • Makes sure it is kept open for data to be sent back and forth
   • Session terminates after both parties are satisfied

4. Transport layer

   • Makes sure data will be sent without an error
   • Missed data is resent
   • Data will arrive

5. Network layer

   • Makes sure data has correct address
   • Allows data to find best route

6. Data link

   • Makes sure data is ready to be sent
   • Data is sent

7. Physical layer

   • Controls bit stream
   • How fast it moves
