1. Vulnerabilities are weaknesses part 1

   • Denial of service
     • When web servers have millions of requests for a web page which is designed to slow it down or crash it.
       • If one person is launching a DOS attack, you can use a firewall to block it and you can tell the server to block IP addresses.
       • Some hackers use a distributed DOS or DDOS attack meaning it spreads out in a big area.

2. Bot is short for Robot. A bot is a zombie like computer that can be controlled by a hacker to send DDOS attacks or viruses.

   • A BotNet is when a hacker has control of many different computers connected to the Internet

3. Vulnerabilities are weaknesses part 3

   • MAL is short for malicious which means bad or evil. Ware is short for software and when you get malware in a game or free app, you think it is doing one thing but it is actually stealing your personal data.
     • An example is when Facebook and Google are used to trick people into thinking something. Facebook was caught experimenting on its users and it tested if it had the power to depress you and it did.
