   • Amplify low power audio signal
   • Used in loud speakers
   • Require low level input
   • Most of them are LINEAR

2. DIFFERENTIAL

   • Amplify the difference between two voltages
   • Used in circuits with negative feedback in one input

3. LINEAR

   • The output must be a faithful reproduction of the input
   • Output proportional to input but it delivers more power into a load
   • Radio frequency power amplifier
     • Solid state
     • Vacuum tube
     • Output measured in KWatt
     • Audio equipment
