1. Benefits

   • Code may run more efficiently as it doesn't have to be downloaded on to the user's computer.
   • The code can run on any web browser as its not made on a specific browser.
   • All of the processing is done on the web server, the speed of the user's computer is only important for the downloading, the rest is done on a speedy server.

2. Drawbacks

   • The exchange of data across the browser may have security risks.
   • The server needs to cope with a vast amount of users.

3. What is it?

   • The submission of a search through a search engine such as Google. The search engine matches the word or phrase against a number of website content on the server using scripts.
