1. Component Testing

   • Testing of individual program components

2. System testing

   • Testing of groups of components
   • integrated to create a system or sub - system

3. Validiation

   • Demonstrate that system meets requirements
   • Successful test showing system operates as intended

4. Defect

   • Discover faults or errors in the system
   • Successful test exposing a defect in the system

5. Intergraton testing

   • The system is tested as components are integrated
   • Top-down and bottom-down
     • Top down: Skeleton
     • Bottom down: Infra.

6. Verficiation

   • Demonstrate if the system satisfies the conditions at the start phase
