1. Secondary Storage-Non Volatile Storage medium which stores files and programs

   • E.g Hard disk drive and solid state drives

2. Magnetic Devices: Magnetic disk are read and written to with moving head into disk drive. susceptible to damage

   • Can be internal and portable

3. Solid State devices: no moving parts. retains electronic charge using logic gates.

   • E.g SD cards and USB

4. Optical device: Optical media has lasers to read and write data to a disk

   • E.g CD, DVDand Blu-ray disks.

5. Cloud Storage:Saving data in off-site location
