   • Can process more instructions per second, therefore programs will run/load faster
   • Programs and data will load faster

2. What?

   • How fast the device processes instructions
   • Measured in Hertz (Hz) one instruction per second
     • GHz- 1,000,000,000 instructions per second
   • Fetch-Decode-Execute Cycle

3. Why?

   • Current processor is too slow
     • Device is running slowly
   • Does not meet minimum or recommended spec for software required
   • More instructions can be processed
     • Programs will load faster
   • Does not need to rely on virtual memory
   • Can access frequent data quicker

     • Improves performance by allowing multiplications Applications to run at the same time
