1. What is it?

   • Software is a set of instructions, data or programs used to operate computers and execute specific tasks. Opposite of hardware, which describes the physical aspects of a computer.

     • software designed to help to analyze, configure, optimize or maintain a computer.
   • Drivers
     • a computer program that makes it possible for a computer to use other pieces of equipment or hardware, like a printer.

   • word Processor
     • Programm that allows the user to write, edit and process text; usually it come with extra features, like altering the size, colour or font
   • Deskop Publishing Software
     • a tool for graphic designers and non-designers to create visual communications such as brochures, business cards, greeting cards, web pages or posters.
   • Presentation Software
     • computer programs designed to allow the user to present information in an engaging way such as with text, pictures, sound and video. PowerPoint is an example of a presentation software.
   • Image and video Editor
     • Software that allows images to be edited and also converted to different graphics formats.
   • Music and Sound Editor
     • software which allows editing and generating of audio data.
   • Websites Developer
     • Program that allows you to create, design and edit an site in the internet, for example a blog.
   • Spreadsheet
     • piece of paper or a computer program used for accounting and recording data using rows and columns into which information can be entered. Excel is great example of this kind of software
   • Database Software
     • Database software is the phrase used to describe any software that is designed for creating databases and managing the information stored in them.
   • Browsers
     • application for accessing information on the World Wide Web, where the user can access to different kinds of information and media
