   • - it is to simple for the human mind , it doesn't take into account what rehersahl is needed like lop model
   • -the experiements fof rthis model are articiial tasks so therefore the findins are likely to be invalid

   • +this model has studies which prove it is right i.e. glanzer and cuntiz found that words read at the beginning of the list and the words at the end of the list were remembered suggesting that there are two different stores
   • +this model has case studies which prove it i.e. the case of h.m which proved the removal of his hippocampi meant that he could only remember old memories and nothing for longer that 30 seconds
   • + the model is influential as it has generated a lot of research into memory

   • shprt term store: encodes mainly auditory , capapcity of 7+/- 2 items,duration up to 15 to 30 seconds
   • long term: encodes semantic , capacity of unlimited, duration of unlimited
