Computer Performance

Computer Performance

1. Cores

   • How?
     • If more cores the cpu will run more instructions per a second so the computer peformance will be better
   • What?
     • Cores are part of the cpu
     • They follow one pattern fetch, decode and excute they cycle through this continously
     • Dual core means it has 2 cores and quad core means it has 4 cores
       • having more cores increases peformace beacuse if you have 8 cores for example that means 8 cores are doing the fetch, decode and excute pattern rather than 2 or 4
