   • accept - receive others favourably and respect others
   • adapt - make adjustment to speech and behaviour

   • assimilate - is ti appropriate for a person to take on the entire way of life in host society
     • second generation

     • individual differences
       • speaking host language
     • contacts with acculturation agents
       • family, friends, local businesses, religious place
       • other agents associated with immigrations
         • schools and native language media
