Atom

1. Electron: a stable subatomic particle with a negative charge. Found in the electron cloud.

2. Proton: a stable subatomic particle with a positive charge. Found in the nucleus of an atom.

3. Neutron: a stable subatomic particle with no electrical charge. Found in the nucleus.

4. Electron cloud: is the region of negative charge surrounding an atomic nucleus that is associated an atomic orbital.

5. Octet rule: it reflects the theory that main group elements tend to bond in such a way that each atoms has eight electrons in its valance shell

6. Lewis dot structure: are diagrams that represent the valance electrons of atoms within a molecule

7. Ions: atoms with a positive or negative charge.

8. Isotopes: atoms from the same element with different number of neutrons
