                        • - Using sweatshop conditions - Low or no pay - Forced labour - Unsafe working conditions - Polluting environment - Sponsoring wrong/ inappropriate organisations - Underage workers  - Wasting materials - inefficiency - Animal testing - Blatant extortion - Broken/ dangerous/ low quality products
                        1. Advantages
                          1. Can increase long term profits
                            1. Other ethical firms will want to do business with you
                              1. Workers more motivated
                                1. Government more likely to give contracts
                                  1. Consumers might prefer your business
                                    1. Develop a good relationship with suppliers
                                    2. Disadvantages
                                      1. Reduces short-term profits - dearer materials etc
                                        1. Paying wages above NMW is expensive
                                          1. Not bribing to win contracts - lost sales
                                            1. End up paying more for supplies

                                              1. McDonalds in Europe aimed to achieve 100% sustainable packaging by 2010
                                                1. Nestle were found to be causing mass deforestation, after protest by greenpeace now using environmentally friendly oil
