   • purpose
     • The purpose of cache memory is to store program instructions that are frequently used by software during its general operations, this is why fast access is needed as it helps to keep the program running quickly.
   • volatile
     • loses data when pwoer is lost

2. RAM(random access memory)

   • Virtual memory
     • Virtual memory enables data that is in RAM and not currently being used to be transferred to the hard disk.
     • volatile
   • purpose
     • each application that is opened by the user is loaded into RAM memory while it is running.
   • volatile
     • loses data when power is lost

3. ROM(read only memory)

   • purpose
     • it contains instruction that are set up by the manafacturer when the chip is created and includes instructions for how to start the computer.
   • its non volatile
     • it keeps data when pwoer i lost
